At some point in the distant past, the universe went through a phase of cosmic inflation,
Stars formed, planets coalesced, and on at least one of them life took root.
Through a long process of evolution this life
    developed into the human race.
Humans conquered fire, built complex societies and advanced technology .

All of that so we can argue about nothing.

Well said , just a slight correction I don't hate Christians I'm married to one and I think I can safely say my fellow atheists on here are of a similar view.

Its the religion and what's written in the bible I criticise , the difference is I can back everyone of my arguments up by using the bible as written without having to reinterpret it to avoid accepting the written word.

I have never in my life seen such a hate filled bunch of rabid Christians as the American ones on here who think Jesus would approve of gun carrying , wall building , anti health care , anti social housing, anti welfare policies ......The idiots have reinvented Jesus as a wealthy cigar smoking gun carrying American loud mouth and bully .....Wait ! You have found many quotes from our founders that seem to come from, I don't know …. maybe your own imagination?

Here are a couple from legitimate sources:

"The purpose of the separation of church and state is to keep, forever from these shores, the ceaseless strife that has soaked the soil of Europe in blood for centuries."  *James Madison*

"I almost shudder at the thought of alluding to the most fatal example of grief which the history of mankind has produced …. the CROSS. Consider what calamities that engine of grief has produced!"  *John Adams* (in a letter to Thomas Jefferson … which still exists)

Your quotes may exist, but NOT in the handwriting of those who "allegedly" said them.

The Declaration refers to "THEIR creator", not OUR creator, implying that everyone has a unique creator instead a universal OUR creator. THEIR could mean ANY "god", or the parents that gave them life, rights and the ability to achieve happiness, or whatever natural or physical "laws" created them. "Their creator" implies anything BUT a Judeo- Christian God! No where else in the D.O.I. (or any founding document), do we find mention of any gods or creators. God and the U.S. are connected only by three words, NATURES GOD, and CREATOR, nothing more.  These words come from a Deist describing a Pagan concept. One could say that the U.S. was founded on Paganism. THAT would be closer than it being founded on "Christianity".

@Dee ; Why not study and understand that it is your god, Satan, who is at the root and causation of the evil that you live?

The Pharaoh and God; The Flood and God (Justice-Compassion or Cruelty?)

Unbeliever-Atheist uses God’s judgment concerning Egypt’s Pharaoh – The Passover to accuse God of senseless cruelty. Let’s discuss the Pharaoh/Passover and Noah/The Flood and causation for both seeing that the hypocritical atheist, when expedient, uses these scenarios to justify their path to death in sin and death in Hell by rejecting the Scriptures and God as cruel, bigoted, hateful; at other times, the hypocritical atheist denies the reality of the Exodus and The Flood and mocks the Scriptures as inaccurate.

Atheist, Susan D, stated: “Let’s talk about when god of the bible killed all those innocent babies and tormented all those innocent Egyptian peasants rather than to instead just target his wrath at the one guy with whom he was angry with, why not just kill Pharaoh and spare the innocent? This story, like so many others in the bibly [Bible], portrays god as one senseless and cruel.”

    A response to the atheist

    1. The Pharaoh and the Death Angel

The Pharaoh had been warned multiple times to free the Hebrew Slaves but he refused and God, who cannot lie (Numbers 23:19), fulfilled the prophecy of salvation/liberation concerning the Hebrew people from a land that would hold them captive as slaves for 400-years (Genesis 15:12-14). Though the Scriptures articulate that God hardened the Pharaoh’s heart, let it be known that God only used and subsequently allowed to manifest what was already present in the Pharaoh’s inner-man i.e. stubbornness, cruelty, deceit (Psalm 139:2).

It is written concerning the Hebrew’s future enslavement and God’s promise of deliverance

Now when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and behold, terror and great darkness fell upon him. 13 God said to Abram, “Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a land that is not theirs, where they will be enslaved and oppressed four hundred years. 14 But I will also judge the nation whom they will serve, and afterward they will come out with many possessions. Genesis 15:12-14 (NASB)

    1) Susan, you suggest that God, if He were fair and compassionate, would have killed the Pharaoh as opposed to the first-born of Egypt, but the death of Pharaoh would not have freed the Hebrew slaves but only embittered the Egyptian hierarchy resulting in increased cruelty toward the Hebrews and exponentially increasing their suffering.

    2) Susan, in your unbelief, as you desire to mock God for His judgment upon the Pharaoh, the Egyptian people, remember that the Passover initiated by this Judgment on Egypt also represents the mercy of God given YOU at the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ as Christ is our Passover Lamb (1 Corinthians 5:7).

The lamb to be slain in Egypt was to be without defect (perfect) and the blood of that spotless lamb was to be painted upon the sides and tops of the door-frames (Exodus 12:4-7) in order that the Death Angel would “pass-over” that home. This edict of our Lord to the Hebrew slaves was also a Messianic prophecy to be fulfilled by the “Lamb of God” (Messiah Yeshua) whose innocent blood would stain the cross-member and upright of a Roman Cross in Jerusalem, Israel.

As the Lord commanded the Hebrew people to paint the blood of a lamb (sheep or goat) upon the doorposts so that the death-angel would “pass-over” their home and spare the first-born from death, so does the innocent blood of Messiah on that Roman Cross provide mankind a way of escape from death in sin and death in Hell (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Concerning Jesus as our Passover Lamb

“knowing that you were not redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your futile way of life inherited from your forefathers, but with precious blood, as of a lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.” (1 Peter 1:18-19)

    3) Every child that died in somber sleep that horrific night in Egypt was fully secure in our Lord because God does not hold culpable those lacking sufficient cognitive maturity to discern right from wrong, moral from immoral (Romans 5:12-14); therefore, every child that died in Egypt on that Passover Night was saved and they are now, in their disembodied spiritual state, secure in our Lord forever, fully conscious and fully aware, in His Kingdom as I type this. Had these Egyptian children matured in Egypt’s pagan culture, they would have died and ended-up in Sheol/Torments (Luke 16) and eventually they would face Judgment in Eternity and subsequently lose their resurrected body and soul in Hell forever (Revelation 20:11-15; Matthew 10:28).

The Lord’s judgment upon the Pharaoh was keeping with God’s faithfulness to His written word/prophecy and the liberation of the Hebrew slaves while the Judgment upon the first-born was actually God’s compassion and mercy as those children received Eternal life with God forever as opposed to dying in sin and Hell without hope!

    ————————————

    2. Noah’s generation and The Flood and atheistic hypocrisy

Like the incident with Pharaoh and the Death Angel/the Passover, the atheist is quick to accuse our Creator of genocide, murder, infanticide, as a result of The Flood. I must chuckle slightly when I think about the hypocrisy of the deceived atheist as they’re quick to cuddle-up to Darwin and heretical “scholars” who deny the Noahic Flood and the Exodus, but when it fits their demonic narrative, the atheist is quick to use the Exodus and The Flood scenarios to accuse God of being a sadistic maniac.

    The Flood – sociological causation

Subsequent to The Fall of Adam/mankind and the curse upon the Human Genome as a result of that Fall culminating in spiritual death and physiological death, mankind began a rather expedient/exponential fall into violence and sexual debauchery-immorality as demonstrated by the generation of Noah along with the Nephilim that were present in the land at that time. The Holy Spirit describes Noah’s generation thusly…

“Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. The Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. 7 The Lord said, “I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the sky; for I am sorry that I have made them.” 8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord.” Genesis 6:5-8 (NASB)

Beginning with Genesis 3:15, immediately subsequent to The Fall of Adam, we see our Creator preparing to bring forth His Messiah through the seed of the woman (a virgin) and this prophecy tells us that Messiah, the One who would defeat the works of Lucifer, would be victorious and conquer sin and death. Ultimately, this was accomplished at the Crucifixion some 4000-years later.

Concerning the curse on Lucifer and the impending struggle with Messiah

“And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel.” Genesis 3:15 (NASB)

The generation that arose between the time of Adam and Noah (pre-flood) had become so wicked and vile that our Lord refused to set-apart a people group through whom He would bring forth His Messiah. Our Lord used the testimony of Noah’s work on the Ark to warn that wicked generation, much like God warned the Pharaoh, of the coming judgment; unfortunately, much like the hardened atheist today, Noah’s generation mocked, ridiculed, and refused to listen.

Speaking of Noah’s silent preaching/warning through the construction of the Ark

“For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to pits of darkness, reserved for judgment; 5 and did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, preacher of righteousness, with seven others, when He brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly; 6 and if He condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction by reducing them to ashes, having made them an example to those who would live ungodly lives thereafter; 7 and if He rescued righteous Lot, oppressed by the sensual conduct of unprincipled men 8 (for by what he saw and heard that righteous man, while living among them, felt his righteous soul tormented day after day by their lawless deeds), 9 then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from temptation, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment, 10 and especially those who indulge the flesh in its corrupt desires and despise authority.” 2 Peter 2:4-10 (NASB)

God’s salvation to the World through judgment by water

Because of the wickedness of Noah’s generation, God chose to save righteous Noah and the seven-members of Noah’s family and destroy the wicked seed of that pre-flood generation in order to begin anew and further His Plan to bless the World through the coming Messiah. Subsequent to the Noahic Flood, we see our Lord set-apart a people group specifically for Himself via the patriarchy of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob AKA Israel.

    Speaking of the Jewish people

“’Thus you are to be holy to Me, for I the LORD am holy; and I have set you apart from the peoples to be Mine.” Leviticus 20:26 (NASB)

Concerning the coming Messiah and the Jewish people, our Lord prophesies to Abraham,

“And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.” Genesis 12:3 (NASB)

Had our Lord not begun anew with a generation born from the favorable lineage of Noah but permitted the wicked and vile pre-flood generation to exponentially increase in number and in vile-sexual-violent debauchery, our Messiah would have never entered into the World and all of mankind would have been ultimately condemned to die in sin and die in Hell; thereby, thwarting God’s Plan of victory over Lucifer, sin, death, Hell, the grave.

The children of the wicked pre-flood generation, like the children of Egypt at the Passover, those children not having attained an age of reason/accountability possessing sufficient discernment to differentiate between good v. evil, right v. wrong, those children were saved by our Lord upon death of the body and their disembodied spirit, fully cognizant and fully aware, is now present with our Lord in the Kingdom of God awaiting the resurrection of the righteous (John 5:29).

    Conclusion

In both scenarios, the Pharaoh and the Noahic Flood, we see our God’s justice, righteousness, truthfulness, compassion, abound and the wise man and woman will internalize the surety of God’s judgment and wrath toward the rebellious and wicked while God’s compassion and forgiveness blankets the righteous, the humble, the faithful.

Mankind, if wise, will learn from these scenarios and find life in God’s Plan through Jesus Christ as Lord -or- if unwise, mankind will choose to reject God’s warning through these examples in Scripture and ultimately die in sin and die in Hell in God’s wrath and righteous judgment.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord. 9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9 (NASB)

@Dee ; Why not study and understand the creatures in the society of that age? Why not study the Hebrew, example...for the Unicorn? What is the KJV translators describing. Have you studied or are you simply content to die in Hell without knowledge?

Unicorns are mentioned in the Bible nine times in the books of Numbers, Deuteronomy, Job, Psalms, and Isaiah and have become one of the “problematic” creatures referred to in Scripture. From our 21st-century understanding as presented in books and movies, we have come to think of this creature as a beautiful, magical, mythical horse. Thus, it has become an excuse for scoffers to dismiss the Bible as a book of fairy tales. However, a closer examination of the word’s origin and original English definition may give us a different picture.

The very first edition of Noah Webster’s dictionary in 1828 lists “unicorn” with the following definition: “an animal with one horn, the monoceros. This name is often applied to the rhinoceros.” Notice that this definition says absolutely nothing about a horse, or a horse-like animal, or Greek mythology, or a mythical or fictitious creature. This definition simply states that this is a name that is often applied to the rhinoceros.

Yet, our present-day understanding of a rhinoceros is that of a two-horned animal. If we look up the word “rhinoceros” in the same 1828 dictionary, it defines rhinoceros as: “A genus of quadrupeds of two species, one of which, the unicorn, has a single horn growing almost erect from the nose. This animal when full grown is said to be 12 feet in length. There is another species with two horns, the bicornis. They are natives of Asia and of Africa.” According to Noah Webster, back in the early 1800s, it was understood that there were two species of the rhinoceros. The one-horned species was called unicorn and the two-horned species was called bicornis.

Both unicornis and bicornis are Latin words. Let’s look at these two words as found in the Latin Bible in two different Bible passages.

In Psalm 92:10, the psalmist is praying and says, But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn.” Looking at this verse in a Latin Bible, the word “unicorn” is unicornis, the same scientific Latin name of the present-day Asian one-horned rhinoceros. The King James Bible translators transliterated this word “unicornis” as “unicorn.”

Looking at Deuteronomy 33:17 in a Latin Bible, this verse uses the Latin word rinocerotis, referring to a two-horned rhinoceros.

“His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.”

The King James translators transliterated this word, “rinocerotis” as “unicorn;” exactly the same as they transliterated unicornis  as “unicorn.”  We must be careful when referring to transliterated words in the text, as in this case two different words were transliterated as the same word.

In this Deuteronomy passage which uses the word rinocerotis, Moses is giving a blessing to each of the 12 sons of Jacob. When he gives a blessing to Joseph, he declares that Joseph’s sons would be like the horns of the rinocerotis. Joseph’s two sons did become as the two horns of a rhinoceros with one big horn and one little horn. Moses prophecies that Manasseh, the elder son, would become the father of thousands, and Ephraim, the younger son, would become the father of tens of thousands. The use of this particular word actually clarifies the passage, because the two-horned rhinoceros has a larger horn and a smaller horn. This prophecy seems backwards, giving the greater blessing to the younger son rather than to the elder son, the first-born. Let’s investigate further.

The King James Bible translators used “unicorns,” (plural with an “s”) in this Deuteronomy passage where a marginal note appears. It reveals that in the Hebrew text, the word is actually a singular word, “unicorn.” However, while the word being translated “unicorn” is singular, the word being translated “horns” is a plural possessive. It’s saying that these plural horns are possessed by the singular unicorn, which would mean that in the Latin, it’s not actually an unicornis, but a rinocerotis. In the English, it’s not actually a unicorn (one animal with one horn), but a rhinoceros (one animal—Joseph, with two horns—two sons.)

Back in Genesis 48:19, Jacob prophesied that Ephraim (the younger) would be greater than Manasseh (the elder, the first-born.) He said that Manasseh “shall be great,” but that Ephraim “shall be greater.” He said that Manasseh “shall become a people,” but that Ephraim “shall become a multitude of nations.” That is exactly what happened, and the prophecy was fulfilled, exactly as the Bible predicted, exactly as the picture the rinocerotis, transliterated as unicorn, visualized.

@Dee ; Again, ad nauseam, my Lord does not find joy in children suffering from disease but this is the reality of man's disobedience and the curse of sin from The Beginning. Every child that dies before attaining the age of reason is secure in their Lord forever in Eternity.

You were not present at Balaam's meeting with the Lord...why not read who was actually speaking?

Balaam got up in the morning, saddled his donkey and went with the Moabite officials. 22 But God was very angry when he went, and the angel of the Lord stood in the road to oppose him. Balaam was riding on his donkey, and his two servants were with him. 23 When the donkey saw the angel of the Lord standing in the road with a drawn sword in his hand, it turned off the road into a field. Balaam beat it to get it back on the road.

24 Then the angel of the Lord stood in a narrow path through the vineyards, with walls on both sides. 25 When the donkey saw the angel of the Lord, it pressed close to the wall, crushing Balaam’s foot against it. So he beat the donkey again.

26 Then the angel of the Lord moved on ahead and stood in a narrow place where there was no room to turn, either to the right or to the left. 27 When the donkey saw the angel of the Lord, it lay down under Balaam, and he was angry and beat it with his staff. 28 Then the Lord opened the donkey’s mouth, and it said to Balaam, “What have I done to you to make you beat me these three times?”

29 Balaam answered the donkey, “You have made a fool of me! If only I had a sword in my hand, I would kill you right now.”

30 The donkey said to Balaam, “Am I not your own donkey, which you have always ridden, to this day? Have I been in the habit of doing this to you?”

    “No,” he said.

31 Then the Lord opened Balaam’s eyes, and he saw the angel of the Lord standing in the road with his sword drawn. So he bowed low and fell facedown.   Numbers 22:21-31

    1) You misunderstand Jesus' words concerning Judgment in Mt. 7 at that juncture; Jesus is warning against Judgment in hypocrisy but if you read on, you will see that Jesus tells His followers,

"Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment."  John 7:24 (NASB)

What Jesus is saying that when we judge, we're to use a righteous standard which is the word of God, the Scriptures. Abortion - LGBTQ are violations of Scripture and it is the Christian's duty to stand against these atrocities.

    2) In Romans 14, Paul is speaking to believers in Christ about believers in Christ...you're not among this group. Paul is teaching concerning the freedom of the Christian in the Covenant of Grace. Paul reiterated this notion to the Church, the believers at Colossi,

"16Therefore let no one judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a festival, a New Moon, or a Sabbath. 17These are a shadow of the things to come, but the body that casts it belongs to Christ.…"  Colossians 2:16-17

    3) James 4 is also written to believers. Here, James makes it clear that God is the only Lawgiver and the only Judge. He is the only one able to save or destroy. If we mean to have our works judged by the Old Testament Law, the Judge will destroy us as guilty sinners. If we mean to be forgiven by the Judge on the basis of His grace through faith in Christ, we will be saved. As people dependent on God's grace, we should not presume to pronounce any verdict against others based on our own judgment. What arrogance that would be!

I don't judge you based on my own judgment, I judge you and your sexual immorality, your abortion advocacy, in accordance with God's word; hence, "Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment."  John 7:24 (NASB)

The Holy Spirit will convict the world of its sins. If we stop defending Christianity, exposing evil, rebuking false teachers, and confronting believers we will have more people lost and led astray. More people will believe false teachings I mean look how many people twist “thou shall not judge.”

When you remain quiet then you start joining wickedness and remember God is not mocked. Stop being part of the world, expose it instead and save lives. The person who truly loves Christ is the one who’s going to stand up for Christ no matter if they lose friends, family, or if the world hates us. The people who hate Christ are going to read this and say, “stop judging.”

For all intents and purposes, it is you that judges yourself in your immorality and your support for the shedding of innocent blood. If I judge you, my judgment is impotent because I am just a sinful man as well, but when I judge you in accordance with God's words and in the context of your filth being placed in leadership in my Nation, I judge righteously and with Truth.

"The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one."  1 Corinthians 2:15

"But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”  Revelation 21:8

"God judges those outside. “Purge the evil person from among you.”  1 Corinthians 5:13

"Hate evil, you who love the LORD, Who preserves the souls of His godly ones; He delivers them from the hand of the wicked."  Psalm 97:10 (NASB)

Ephesians 5:11-12 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret.

    2. Psalm 94:16 Who will rise up for me against the wicked? Who will stand for me against those who practice iniquity?

    3. John 7:24  Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

    4. Titus 1:10-13 For there are many who are insubordinate, empty talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision party. They must be silenced, since they are upsetting whole families by teaching for shameful gain what they ought not to teach. One of the Cretans, a prophet of their own, said, Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons. This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith.

    5. 1 Corinthians 6:2 Or do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to try trivial cases?

Do you allow your brothers to go down a dark path and remain rebellious towards the Word of God? Have courage and rebuke, but do it kindly, humbly, and gently.

    6. James 5:20 let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.

    7. Galatians 6:1 Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Keep watch on yourself, lest you too be tempted.

    8. Matthew 18:15-17 If your brother sins against you, go and confront him while the two of you are alone. If he listens to you, you have won back your brother. But if he doesn’t listen, take one or two others with you so that ‘every word may be confirmed by the testimony of two or three witnesses. If, however, he ignores them, tell it to the congregation. If he also ignores the congregation, regard him as an unbeliever and a tax collector.

    The sin of being silent.

    9. Ezekiel 3:18-19 If I say to the wicked, “You shall surely die,” and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, in order to save his life, that wicked person shall die for his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand. But if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, or from his wicked way, he shall die for his iniquity, but you will have delivered your soul.

How can you justify the wicked and stand up for the devil rather than God? How can you call what goes against God’s Word good? How can you love what God hates? Whose side are you on?

    10. Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.

    11. James 4:4 You adulterers! Don’t you know that friendship with the world means hostility with God? So whoever wants to be a friend of this world is an enemy of God.

    12. 1 Corinthians 10:20-21 No, I imply that what pagans sacrifice they offer to demons and not to God. I do not want you to be participants with demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons.

    13. 1 John 2:15 Stop loving the world and the things that are in the world. If anyone persists in loving the world, the Father’s love is not in him.

    ******Again, ad nauseam,

Again ad nauseam you're repeating the same tired

***my Lord does not find joy in children suffering from disease but this is the reality of man's disobedience and the curse of sin from The Beginning.

Right so children today still have to die from cancer to satisfy gods desire for revenge over the sins of their ancestors a couple of 1000 years ago?

A mere human being such as I would not inflict such generational suffering in my fellow humans for 1000's if year no matter how bad their crime

I thought you said your god was a good god , any god that does that is the essence of evil

****Every child that dies before attaining the age of reason is secure in their Lord forever in Eternity.

I wonder do you tell their parents they fully deserved their deaths and die it give you much pleasure to do so?
  • RickeyDRickeyD 953 Pts   -
@Dee ; I understand death, Dee, because I know my Lord and His Plan for mankind and the purpose for our lives in Time. We must choose to love and trust God in Jesus Christ or deny Him and live life in accordance to our will which culminates in deceit and ultimately death in futility.

This life constrained by Time is nothing more than a gateway to true life in the spirit in a Realm that is infinitely more intricate, sensory fulfilled, meaningful, than the temporary Realm of Time (1 Corinthians 2:9); You blame God for keeping His word and being truthful to Himself...you seek to justify your sin and your rebellion through projection and obfuscation in your arrogance and stubbornness to God's will for your life (Numbers 23:19).

You're kicking against the goads in futility as you die by the second in your spiritual ignorance, sin and pride when all God desires is that you trust Him and approach Him His WAY so that you can find life in His Name (John 14:6; John 8:24). Children die, Dee, we all die (Romans 6:23) and again, this life is nothing more than preparation for Eternity (Hebrews 12:14-16). When a child dies in their youth it's difficult for mankind to fathom - WHY? - but I too watched my daughter die begging for my intercession and through that horror I trust my Lord because I know He is faithful and will do just as He has promised (1 Thessalonians 5:24).  King David, a man after God's own heart (1 Samuel 13:14), when his child died he knew the Lord was faithful and that he would see the child again.

"But now he has died; why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I will go to him, but he will not return to me."  2 Samuel 12:23 (NASB)

I have walked with my Lord for 27-yrs and I KNOW Him to be faithful and though I don't understand everything at this point in Time, I know that my God has everything under complete control and in that Day I will see Him as He is and I will know all things and understand all things. Without Jesus Christ as Lord, this life is futility and wastefulness (Ecclesiastes  1:14; 2:17).

My friend... Please reread this and think it through a bit.

Reminds me of Rousseau's immortal quote: "…whoever refuses to obey the general will, will be forced to do so by the entire body. This means merely that he will be forced to be free."

@MayCaesar ; God provides you free will to choose obedience to His will for your life through Jesus Christ - or - you have the option to choose servitude to Satan and suffer a similar fate as he in Hell.  Before Jesus was obedient to His destiny at the Crucifixion, you had no choice and were headed to death in Hell but now you have the option, choose wisely.

How is that “free will” you idiotic creature if you have to  choose obedience to his will ?

There is no choice there you clot

  • RickeyDRickeyD 953 Pts   -
@Dee ; Yes, Dee, you have the choice via free will to live in obedience and you have the choice to live in disobedience. If you lived in obedience to God's will, you would not be in this forum advocating for Satan but you would be a child of the Living God, born again, Holy Spirit filled, seeking to honor God with Truth as opposed to lying for the Devil.

"Hello, my name is god. I gave humanity a mysterious device with two buttons, blue and red. Everyone who presses the blue button goes to heaven, and everyone who presses the red button goes to hell.
Oh, and I never explained anyone what this device does and how.
And I also hid myself from everyone, removing any evidence of my existence at all.
Finally, I sent a bunch of cultists to Earth mumbling incoherently to represent my will, and everyone who is not as hopelessly gullible as to take their word on it is screwed.
    Good luck have fun, guys!"

Sounds like a god worth following.  :D

@MayCaesar ; God the Father sent His Son to die for you so that you could live through Him. God did not and is not hiding. He has walked among us for 33.5-years and provided His Creation, the Son, the written word as evidence of His reality and validity and you are "without excuse" if you die in your atheism.
