Can Christians hold Christians accountable?

I am a born again Christian. This means I have an eternally secure relationship with Jesus, and that I accept the Bible to be true. Because I am politically progressive and disagree with mainstreem Christians on many of their political opinions, both they and some progressives say I'm not a Christian. For me, that is like Pharisees saying Jesus was not a Jew because He disagreed with so many of their religious and political opinions. It comes down to the letter of the Law, versus the spirit of the Law. I support the last, and so does Jesus. I believe He would take issue with how SOME Christians are treating people, who don't seem acceptable to them. What are your thoughts?
