Top evangelical magazine calls for Trump’s removal!

Debate Information

Christianity Today editor-in-chief Mark Galli wrote in an editorial that “the facts in this instance are unambiguous: The president of the United States attempted to use his political power to coerce a foreign leader to harass and discredit one of the president’s political opponents. That is not only a violation of the Constitution; more importantly, it is profoundly immoral.”

Will we see his numbers go down or not?

@Plaffelvohfen ; Trump's numbers continue to rise and when the true Christian, informed, looks at the Party of Satan i.e. Progressive-Democrats, our President is the ONLY choice for 2020....we must fight against the abortionist loving, sexually perverse, socialists attempting to destroy America's Constitutional Republic. There has never been, in the History of America, a more naive, ignorant, disloyal, perverted, bloody, generation of demonically led misfits as the generation of Millennial's and Gen-Z demons now entering the voting booth. America is dying with each graduating class of brainwashed, liberal, socialists being vomited from our institutions of socialistic and evolutionary thought. The religions of death and Hell.

Its hilarious watching  idiots like @RickeyD and @TKDB defend Trump in their pea brains they have him on the same level of Jesus , I bet they believe he walks on water

The thing that irks me the most about trump supporters is how they are all casualties in a war that they don't even know is happening. I have yet to find a single trump supporter who recognizes that they were subject to it, despite all the evidence right in front of them. Information warfare is the new normal, everyone is effected, most don't know it is happening. The divisiveness of trump is by design, the objective is to sow as much dissent as possible.

I have yet to meet a single Trump supporter who voted for him when he ran in 2000 ( most don't even know he did )

We know for a fact that Russia meddled in the election in all 50 states ( we did not prove trump asked for it ) and British company Cambridge Analytica feed Trump to voters in the rust best. No matter how you cut it, trump had an unfair advantage in the election.

This whole situation is just so surreal that I can only explain it through analogy- it is as if an athlete switches sports to become the best at the new one virtually overnight with a rapid onset of rabid fans, until one day he is investigated for doping. The investigation proves that he had the drugs but not that he took them so he is off the hook. Then an observant fan notices that his shoes don't look quite right, they are confiscated to be checked for springs, only to have them mysteriously disappear. Then one day he calls an opponent a name that starts a fight, and is charged with unsportsmanlike conduct. That's how ridiculous this whole situation is.

At some point in the distant past, the universe went through a phase of cosmic inflation,
Stars formed, planets coalesced, and on at least one of them life took root.
Through a long process of evolution this life
    developed into the human race.
Humans conquered fire, built complex societies and advanced technology .

All of that so we can argue about nothing.

What political office on the internet are you campaigning for?

You sound like Biden, Pelosi, Schiff, and Nadler, all morphed into one.

I wouldn't care if Obama was back in the Oval Office, as long as the Liberal news media was just as critical of Mr. Obama, as they are of Trump?

But the "Obama Truth," of what happened to the Liberal news media, during Obama's time in Office?

The Liberal news media was scared to say anything cross about Obama, because if they did, they feared being viewed as negative, towards Obama, so they sang his praises instead, of being Objective News Journalists, and doing their Journalism work, in a neutral, and impartial manner.

Meaning that they didn't choose sides.

So when Mr. Obama, became President, the Liberal news media outlets, changed their basic Journalism standards, to suit Mr. Obama's time in the Oval Office.

@TKDB If you have Netflix, you should watch "The great hack" should be eye-opening (or maybe shutting in your case )

I don't like either major party in the US, and I didn't support Obama either.

Modern politics is a circus, so I support a party that doesn't exist anymore in the US but secretly controls the world anyways.

As far as the impact of the announcement, it may impact two groups of evangelicals the most: suburban white women and younger evangelicals who are already jaded by older evangelicals' embrace of Trump.

The good news is that there are now cracks in the wall of evangelical support for Trump. The call for removal may not sway the majority of evangelicals but just enough to make a difference in the 2020 election.

    Considering Christianity Today can't even get the Grahams onboard with their political message, it won't have much of an impact on the rest of the evangelical community.  Franklin Graham, son of Billy Graham, and himself an evangelist, missionary, and president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, has been quite critical of Christianity Today's political article;

    My Response to Christianity Today:

Christianity Today released an editorial stating that President Trump should be removed from office—and they invoked my father’s name (I suppose to try to bring legitimacy to their statements), so I feel it is important for me to respond. Yes, my father Billy Graham founded Christianity Today; but no, he would not agree with their opinion piece. In fact, he would be very disappointed. I have not previously shared who my father voted for in the past election, but because of this article, I feel it is necessary to share it now. My father knew Donald Trump, he believed in Donald Trump, and he voted for Donald Trump. He believed that Donald J. Trump was the man for this hour in history for our nation.

For Christianity Today to side with the Democrat Party in a totally partisan attack on the President of the United States is unfathomable. Christianity Today failed to acknowledge that not one single Republican voted with the Democrats to impeach the President. I know a number of Republicans in Congress, and many of them are strong Christians. If the President were guilty of what the Democrats claimed, these Republicans would have joined with the Democrats to impeach him. But the Democrats were not even unanimous—two voted against impeachment and one voted present. This impeachment was politically motivated, 100% partisan. Why would Christianity Today choose to take the side of the Democrat left whose only goal is to discredit and smear the name of a sitting president? They want readers to believe the Democrat leadership rather than believe the President of the United States.

Look at all the President has accomplished in a very short time. The economy of our nation is the strongest it has been in 50 years, ISIS & the caliphate have been defeated, and the President has renegotiated trade deals to benefit all Americans. The list of accomplishments is long, but for me as a Christian, the fact that he is the most pro-life president in modern history is extremely important—and Christianity Today wants us to ignore that, to say it doesn’t count? The President has been a staunch defender of religious freedom at home and around the world—and Christianity Today wants us to ignore that? Also the President has appointed conservative judges in record number—and Christianity today wants us to ignore that? Christianity Today feels he should be removed from office because of false accusations that the President emphatically denies.

Christianity Today said it’s time to call a spade a spade. The spade is this—Christianity Today has been used by the left for their political agenda. It’s obvious that Christianity Today has moved to the left and is representing the elitist liberal wing of evangelicalism.

Is President Trump guilty of sin? Of course he is, as were all past presidents and as each one of us are, including myself. Therefore, let’s pray for the President as he continues to lead the affairs of our nation.

I recently watched an interview with a North Korean refugee girl. One of the questions was along the lines of, "How did it feel, to live in a country where everyone is brainwashed and cannot think for themselves?" She did not like the question. She responded with, "You should not call dozens millions people brainwashed and unable to think for themselves. They are living human beings, with their real concerns and anxieties and ways to cope with them. Do not assume that, just because they are exposed to harsh daily propaganda, they are lesser thinkers than you and me."

Those words moved me. It is not something many people talk about nowadays. Most people seem so caught up in various manifestations of identity politics, that they forget that, behind all the labels, there are real human individuals, with their own inner battles and ways to wage them. It is so easy to dismiss a large group of people as brainwashed or , to avoid having to go deep into their individual psychologies and see a reflection of oneself in them.

This is something I see on the West a lot nowadays, and it sickens me. How people, intelligent and polite at the first glance, dismiss, say, dozens millions of Trump supporters as being "casualties in a war". As if they could not come to certain conclusions due to their own personal challenges and necessarily had to be persuaded into them by external forces.

That people from the worst places on Earth can have much more humane world views, than people who have grown up in a free and prosperous society - this really makes one think, does it not? I noticed this a while ago, that I resonate much more with immigrants from places like China, who moved out of their countries for ideological reasons - than with some of the people who grew up on the West and never had to experience what it is like to go through real life hardships. I feel that we are simultaneously more psychologically broken by our experiences, but also share some bond formed as a result of going through those experiences together that people born in more prosperous places just do not have. It is a bit of a bittersweet bond, but one worth preserving.
