Iran want's revenge agains the USA

Debate Information

Just about a day ago the Iran General was assassinated by an order given by Donald Trump. Now, I haven't been following much of what has been going on lately. What do you think about this? Was it justified or not?

Iran always wants revenge against Israel and the US. Yet they have been shaking their fists for 41 years now, unable to do anything.

Iran is very-very deeply corrupt, like Russia or Nigeria; maybe more so. Should they initiate a war against the US, not only will they lose quickly due to their generals being bribed away (just as happened in Iraq), but their establishment will quickly lose their personal fund supplies. This is not acceptable.
There is almost no way a war is going to erupt. Iran is run by pretty intelligent, if absolutely deranged, people, and they are not going to give up everything they have accomplished over the last 4 decades over one assassination of one man. But they surely will try to extract as much political credit out of it as possible.

As for the general himself, he was a pretty dangerous individual, responsible for a lot of horrible human rights violations. I do not know if the assassination was justified (how do you even justify something like this?), but I certainly will not drop any tears over it.

This is a tough question to ask. You really have to take into consideration the history of Iran and the alleged plot to attack us bases in the middle East. From an American stand point we know the Islamic extremists see us as an enemy and an attack from them is not a question of if, but a question of when. We saw what happens when warnings are given the benefit of the doubt and as a result we saw almost 3k Americans die on September 11th. I would argue that it is more important to stop an attack before it happens than to wait till it does and then go after the bad guys. In this instance it was absolutely justified. We have had on going problems with Iran, we have had ongoing threats from senior officials in Iran and we have sat by idling for years. We had an opportunity to strike in order to destabilize the military temporarily by killing it's commander and it was to the benefit of not just Americans but the Kurdish, the syrians, and everyone else in the surrounding regions. War is never pleasant. We have to accept that people will die. But as a nation it is the sole job of our president to ensure no battle ever makes it to the homelands.

Now another reason America needs to be considered is that global stability depends on us intervention, security forces, and diplomacy. Should America ever fall the entire world will be terrorized. North Korea Russia and China would sweep Europe and then Africa and then America etc 100's of millions of people would die if north Korea held back on nuking the world into Oblivion.

    Yes it was justified.

The guy was a terrorist, who killed 100's of American's through his terrorist actions.

And apparently Obama's way of dealing with Iran, was by giving Iran millions of dollars in taxpayer money, delivered to Iran on a pallet, via an airplane?
(That made the Nationwide news, when that happened.)

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iran_hostage_crisis

And for 444 days during the Iran hostage crises, the United States didn't do anything in response to that.
(The Iran hostage situation, was in the news, for over a year.)
Was the taking of the U.S. hostages, during the Jimmy Carter Presidency justified?
    No it wasn't.

But some of the Iranian talking heads, like to run their mouths, through social media, to try to instigate anyone, to respond to them?

I believe a few days ago, via the News, that some of those same talking heads, told the U.S., "You can't do anything."

Maybe some of the Iranian talking heads, are used to the U.S. acting in an inactive manner?

My thought is this, Humanity loves conflict, and on a daily Global basis, some of humanity feeds on conflict, morning, noon, and night.

It was justified.  What more proof do we need that he was coordinating with groups like Hezbala than the fact that the head of Hezbala was killed with him.
