While I am voting for Muhammad, I want to clarify that it is not Muhammad himself who is divisive, but the personality cult around him in Islam. Muhammad himself was just a regular conquerer, just like hundreds other like him throughout history - however, his personality has been idolised by Muslims, who used his writings to justify the worst atrocities imaginable. The non-Muslim world righteously rejects Muslim values, however some people overreact and take a hard stance against all Muslims - and a reactive force appears and, in turn, starts justifying the Islamic values and atrocities.

It is a huge mess in countries that have large Muslim populations or that have been affected by Islam in any significant way. I do not think it is such a big deal in the US, but you did not specify which nation you are talking about, so I will assume that we are talking about "a" nation, or some sort of average over the world, and Muhammad then is definitely a very strong candidate.

I would say that Marx is more divisive still, but he was not on the list, unfortunately. Marx could easily be the biggest villain in the history on Earth, a guy whose ideology has lead to the largest both absolute and relative number of casualties worldwide. But Muhammad runs quite closely behind, followed by Jesus and Mussolini. And, again, these individuals themselves are not that divisive/evil, but the idolised image of them and following of ideologies inspired by their words and writings is.

Jesus is actually probably the most mistreated person historically. The guy himself was quite a decent human being, with some reasonable ideas, groundbreaking for his time - but Christian fundamentalists managed to turn his ideology into a monstrosity.
