I saw something similar in Indianapolis, where electric smart cars can be picked at specific locations and dropped at other such locations: you scan your driver's license and credit card, and you are good to go.

I just wish people treated them a bit better; the "rental curse" applies here as well, and people tend to not care about damaging the bikes, and they throw them around with no care, knowing that they aren't responsible for anything that happens to them.
