Is it acceptable to eat a person if 1. The two well-informed people( the eater and the eaten) made a mutual consent to carry out cannibalism 2.Nobody will get inspired and imitate the cannibalism 3. Nobody will get upset about the cannibalism ?
There is an interesting moral theory, that everything moral can be reduced to conformed consent. The primary detractors to this argument are that there may be reverberating consequences that can not be accounted for, and that perfect knowledge isn't possible. In this context, this would be a moral action because you have effectively nullified the detracting arguments.
At some point in the distant past, the universe went through a phase of cosmic inflation, Stars formed, planets coalesced, and on at least one of them life took root. Through a long process of evolution this life developed into the human race. Humans conquered fire, built complex societies and advanced technology . All of that so we can argue about nothing.
It might not be acceptable socially, but it should be acceptable legally. However twisted it may seem, if both people want it and their actions do not affect anyone else directly, then why should they be prevented from it?
For the same reason, I think that consensual assisted suicide should be legal. If I ask someone to chop my head off with an axe and have a third party witness the mutually consensual contract, then the person should not be persecuted for doing so. I would like to not live in a society in which such arrangements are normalised, but I would like even less to live in a society where they are outlawed for some abstract moral reasons.
