In her new book, "Presence," Cuddy says that people quickly answer two questions when they first meet you:
- Can I trust this person?
- Can I respect this person?
http://www.businessinsider.com/harvard-psychologist-amy-cuddy-how-people-judge-you-2016-1i didn't read the book yet, but as I read this article I thought how that would apply to people we are debating on this site.
to me trust and respect is based on your user name, points listed under your name, if I debated with you before, and quality of your arguments.
i think that understanding how we are percieved is useful to be more successful in life. Intuitively I agree with the summary and adding the book to my reading list backlog.
