Ruling Out Possibilities

"Anything is possible" is perhaps one of the loosest, non-committal phrases anyone could say. For example, stating that the existence of green pigs with wings being possible is absurd. And to further bolster such a ridiculous belief by reasoning that the existence of such an animal cannot be disproven is just being totally ridiculous.

Equally absurd of course is believing myths just because they have been around for a long time, or written in books or been in the movies. They all have the same ingredients, a mythological hero who lives in a land far away in another time warp or dimension. For example, Peter Pan and Nevernever Land.

There will always be some smartypants who will twist things around by saying that a place called Nevernever Land exists in California (although Michael Jackson no longer exists).

The point is that, in order to have order in our lives, we should accept what is reasonably true and reject what is nothing more than a "possibility". Some possibilities may have a slight bit of substance to them but here is a list of possibilities that we can definitely rule out.

Let's rule out the possibility of the existence of fairies.

Let's rule out the possibility of the existence of witches 

Let's rule out the possibility of the existence of God.

Let's rule out the possibility of the existence of ghosts.

Let's rule out the possibility of the existence of Bigfoot.

These are only a few random myths that come to mind but feel free to add more to the list and help make your life that little bit easier and less complicated.
