Abortion of a viable fetus, (in other words, abortion of a fetus that could live outside of the womb) should only be legal in situations where the mother’s physical health is in serious jeopardy. The fact that “emotional “, or “psychological”, or “familial” health are factors in determining whether or not a viable fetus can be aborted in the U.S.A. is shocking, in my view. A viable fetus, for all intents and purposes, is a human being that deserves the same rights to life as the rest of us.
