Since early January in 2020 many people have died of Coronavirus-19 pandemic in many parts of the world. In particular, the United States has been seriously hit by the pandemic and the country is facing serious economic crisis since the Great Recession of 1929. I believe that the pandemic is closely linked to the global warming.
We must pay attention to the fact that what global warming has brought to human beings, our life and natural environment. We can point out a number of things like destruction of forests, drought, rise of sea level, extreme weather such as hurricane and wild fire. In particular, destruction of forests has triggered the emergence of viruses and infectious worms like Coronavirus-19. At the same time rapid industrialization, profit and GDP-oriented economic policy based on the idea of Industrial Capitalism since the end of World War Second brought destruction of natural environment on a global scale. This destroyed wild life in many parts of the world and caused wildlife diseases. Jason Rohr of the University of Notre Dame in Indiana says that ``we do know that 75percent of emerging infectious diseases have a wild life origin. And people are already being infected with diseases coming from wildlife, including Covid-19.``(The Japan Times, November 21,2020)
The important thing is that viruses which emerged in forests spread into big cities and people are infected with them as we see them globally.
