Both parties suck and we need new leadership

We have tried the republican way, and we have tried the Democrat way, and many other ways, to solve the big issues of the country (Crime, poverty, homelessness, etc.). I live in NYC, where all of these issues are prevalent and have become the basis of the campaign for governor. But what annoys me is, NONE OF THEIR SOLUTIONS WORK. Like b r u h. Lee Zeldin wants to crack down on the whole crime thing, and throw all the people in jail and get rid of bail reform, but haven't we tried that before, and we have seen it fail under Trump, Reagan, and many others? Those criminals come back out, and with no other way of providing for themselves, or without mental health support to help the mentally unstable, THEY JUST GO BACK TO DOING MORE CRIMES. And then you have people like Catherine Hochul, who have various solutions that mean well but end up having the opposite effect that doesn't provide permanent solutions to what has proven to be permanent problems. I understand, not everyone is like these people, and that NYC politics don't apply to the rest of the country. But regardless of what kind of policy proposals people have, none of them come close to being able actually to solve these problems, and eliminate the causes of them as a whole. Meanwhile, there are plenty of solutions that even if not perfect, work better at reducing these problems to a noticeable degree compared to here. For example, Several European countries have access to free healthcare, which allows for less strain for poor people, or free higher education, both of which significantly reduce poverty in the nations they are implemented in. EVEN FOR CRIMINAL SYSTEMS, COUNTRIES LIKE NORWAY DO BETTER THAN US. They have prisons with access to vocational courses, a focus on mental health, and ACTUALLY REINTEGRATING PEOPLE INTO SOCIETY. Cities like Vienna have also reduced homelessness by making beautiful public housing (which is only about $300 a month), making it easier for people to have a place to live if they have a job. There are so many solutions that work better than the things that we have already tried, and yet here we are, doing the same things and continuing the cycle of hope in unsustainable solutions. Personally, I think we need to do better. So much better...
