What is the True Meaning of Xmas?

Kid: Hey Mum, guess what? At school today I was picked to go in the Xmas play and I got the part of Jesus and I don't have to learn much lines coz all I say is wah, wah, wah, wah. And the hottest chick at school plays Mary so she picks me up out of the cradle and kisses and hugs me and........
Mother: .........That's all very well dear but we mustn't forget the real meaning of Xmas. It's all about Santa Claus , being charitable, jolly and giving. Unlike the days of yore when pagans were made to worship a charismatic charlatan who, like his modern-day successors such as Jim Jones, led a religious cult whereby oppression, murder, doom, gloom, fear, hatred and bigotry were the order of the day for the hapless victims of Christianity. A lot of that vileness still lingers on nowadays but, by and large that sort of codswallop is not tolerated by decent, civilized society and Christianity is definitely on its way out, never to return to our cultures ever again.
Kid: Gee Mum, that's pretty heavy stuff but thanks for putting it all into prespective for me. I'm certainly looking forward to all the gifts I'll be getting for Xmas. I wrote to Santa and put in my order for a toy AK-47, I can't wait.
