Should older people be allowed to get jobs?

The retirement age is 67.  A lot of older people need to work till at least then.  Some may need to work longer.  Why should we hinder them from working if that is what they want to do?

I like to say that "the day I will retire is the day I die". Being disallowed from getting a job at the age of 60 or higher would imply my death upon reaching the age of 60, which is... not desirable. So I will say yes.

Older people are a valuable part of the workforce.  They have experience.  Experience is one of the key factors that employers consider when hiring new employees. Experience can show employers that you have the skills and knowledge necessary to do the job and that you are a reliable and dependable worker.
