Is presidential immunity a thing?

Debate Information

Hello:

If a president is immune from criminal prosecution while serving as president, couldn't Joe Biden murder Trump on 5th Avenue and get away with it?

As I understand the US concept of "presidential immunity", A President can not be prosecuted for any political action he takes while President of the USA.      Which is pretty well a slam dunk for Trump.    The only problem for Trump is, how far the Leftist forces have penetrated the halls of power, that they can rely on judges to find Trump guilty of any supposed "crime" that their evil inventive minds can think up.    Trump has lost in the Colorado Appellate court to have his case dismissed on the grounds of "presidential immunity."     But laughingly, this has cast he spotlight upon the behaviour of the leftist, DEI approved, ethnic judges who are judging Trump.    It seems that one of them had her fingers in he till.    Which is what happens when ticking diversity boxes instead of selecting people by merit is applied in the real world.

Anyhoo, if Trump failed in the Appellate court, he can still appeal to the US Supreme court.   Which means he is still on the ballot until the Supreme court makes a decision.   Which it probably will not do until after the next Presidential  election.   This is expected to be 9-0 in Trump's favour.

    Hello B:

You don't understand the concept of presidential immunity, because presidential immunity ISN'T a concept..  It's a notion that resided only in Trumps head.  Nonetheless, it COULD become a concept IF the 5th Circuit Appellate court rules in Trumps favor.  It's in their hands as we speak.

But, if they rule that Trump IS immune, surly Biden is immune too..

    No?

That would seem to set the precedent, wouldn't it? I'd rather they both be prosecuted as the evidence mounts. I believe in no one being above the law.

The argument can still be made that those in the Senate are to be impeached with Donald J Trump. An understanding is impeachment is not a criminal trial and should be called for by the Chief justice in the Armed Services. The house is to meet for no other purpose than the impeachment. There has been no release of how executive officer trump has been honoring his oath to hold the office of President. Economy is a service to self-interest not United States Constitutional right. Trump has already been impeached by the state of Colorado the house of representatives there has the same powers as the House in the district of Columbia. Impeachment is the sole power of the House of Representatives and Trump must prove he was not texting and was working on preserving United States Constitutional Right instead of earnings after turning down pay for doing that job.
