We don't really know for sure how complex beings came to be, but Darwin's theory of evolution doesn't claim to, the theory just addresses the changing of complex animals into other complex animals. So maybe there was some God who started us off, I don't know.
People don't seem to understand how rare fossilization, never mind fossilization to a degree that we have identifiable remains of a particular animal, is, for example, we have no fossil remains of Chimpanzees, we know they exist, we know that they have for a long time, they didn't just spring into being from totally different animal (probably), this is why it's silly when people talk about a missing link, it is impossible to fully trace back the progress of a species's evolution, fossilization is just to rare.
Animals can adapt to having different genetic components, and when they do not, because the mutation is simply not compatible with a living animal, then the animals simply dies and their genetic mishaps fail to spread. This happens quite often, but there are still cases in which the animal's genetic mutation fits in with their other aspects. We know that animals can adapt to changes in DNA because we can modify their genetics and see what it leads to.
Some are good and some are bad, there is no reason to believe that they're all bad, they are simply changes, changes are often bad, as the previous argument led to the mention of, often a genetic change is incompatible with an animal, and the animal dies.
I found this to be a very interesting example of a positive mutation, (sorry for subjecting you to CNN, but it's the first link that showed up and I'm lazy) https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/limone-sul-garda-italy-elixir-wellness/index.html

I would dare say that, since there is not even one skerrick of evidence against evolution in the first place, there is absolutely nothing to disprove.
It is up to creationist to prove their frivolous, ill-gotten beliefs of creation and to date, they have not provided nor even bothered to provide nor can they provide any evidence whatsoever.
Evolution by natural selection has been irrefutably proven many times over.
